Standard Process
  1. Wood Selection The initial step involves carefully choosing the finest wood for the component parts to ensure they meet our exacting standards. High-quality raw materials form the foundation for a superior finished furniture product.
  2. Perfected Sanding Every door undergoes meticulous sanding to guarantee that all wood surfaces accept the finish uniformly, ensuring consistent color throughout.
  3. Thorough Cleaning Before entering the stain booth, each part is meticulously cleaned of dust and debris, ensuring a dust-free wood surface for the subsequent processes.
  4. Staining/Painting The penetrating stain or paint is meticulously applied by hand, utilizing processes that ensure even distribution of color.
  5. Color Inspection Following staining or painting, the product undergoes a color inspection to ensure uniformity across all parts of the kitchen.
  6. Drying The product undergoes thorough oven drying to ensure complete dryness before the sealing process.
  7. Sealer Coat A sealer coat is applied to fill in any open pores in the wood, providing a uniform and even base for the subsequent top coat.
  8. Curing The sealer coat is oven-cured for uniform hardness, preventing finish issues such as crackling and peeling.
  9. Hand-Sanded Parts are lightly touch-sanded with fine grit sandpaper to prevent raised grain or roughness, allowing for a more uniform build-up in the top coat.
  10. Dust Removal After sanding, all parts are meticulously cleaned to eliminate debris, ensuring a dust-free top coat application.
  11. Top Coat A premium-quality catalyzed clear top coat is applied to protect the wood from environmental elements.
  12. Final Drying The top coat undergoes oven curing, chemically locking in its properties and finalizing the finish quality.
  13. Final Inspection All products undergo a meticulous final inspection in the finishing area to ensure consistent color and finish quality.

Additional Steps for Glazed Product:

  1. Following seal sanding and cleaning, the glaze is carefully hand-applied.
  2. The glazed product is placed on a rack to air dry.
  3. The product then proceeds through the top coat, drying, and inspection steps.
  1. Entry Width Requirement: Ensure that doorways have a minimum width of 32 inches.
  2. Door Interference Guidelines: Avoid any interference between entry doors and appliances, as well as between appliance doors.
  3. Work Center Spacing: In a kitchen with three work centers forming a work triangle (cooking, cleanup/prep, and refrigeration), the sum of distances between them should not exceed 26 feet. Each leg of the work triangle should be between 4 and 9 feet. For additional work centers, maintain distances between 4 and 9 feet, ensuring no work triangle leg intersects an island or peninsula by more than 12 inches.
  4. Separation of Work Centers: Avoid placing full-height, full-depth obstacles (e.g., pantry cabinets or refrigerators) between two primary work centers.
  5. Work Triangle Traffic Control: Ensure that major traffic patterns do not cross through the work triangle.
  6. Work Aisle Width: For a single cook, maintain a work aisle width of at least 42 inches, and for multiple cooks, ensure a width of at least 48 inches.
  7. Walkway Width Requirement: Maintain a walkway width of at least 36 inches.
  8. Traffic Clearance at Seating: Provide 32 inches of clearance from the counter/table edge to any obstruction behind a seated diner. If traffic passes behind the diner, allow at least 36 inches to edge past or 44 inches to walk past.
  9. Seating Clearance Guidelines: Incorporate clearances for kitchen seating areas, including a 24-inch-wide by 18-inch-deep knee space for each seated diner at 30-inch-high tables/counters, 24-inch-wide by 15-inch-deep knee space at 36-inch-high counters, and 24-inch-wide by 12-inch-deep knee space at 42-inch-high counters.
  10. Sink Placement for Cleanup/Prep: If a kitchen has only one sink, position it adjacent to or across from the cooking surface and refrigerator.
  11. Sink Landing Area for Cleanup/Prep: Include a 24-inch-wide landing area on one side of the sink and an 18-inch-wide landing area on the other side.
  12. Preparation/Work Area Guidelines: Include a continuous countertop section of at least 36 inches in width and 24 inches in depth immediately next to a sink.
  13. Dishwasher Placement: Position the primary dishwasher’s nearest edge within 36 inches of the nearest edge of a sink. Allow at least 21 inches of standing space between the dishwasher and any countertop, appliances, or cabinets placed at a right angle to the dishwasher.
  14. Waste Receptacle Requirements: Include at least two waste receptacles, with one located near the sink(s) and a second for recycling in the kitchen or nearby.
  15. Auxiliary Sink Frontage: Ensure that at least 3 inches of countertop frontage is provided on one side of the auxiliary sink and 18 inches on the other side.
